Between Psunj, Dilj, Papuk and Požega Mountain you can find the town Požega. It is a town with about 20 thousand people and with the surrounding settlements it has about 30 thousand people. Požega is a center of so called Golden Valley and Požeško – Slavonska County. Požega used to be important trading and manufacturing center of middle Slavonia. Historical buildings in Požega are Požega bishop’s palace, Požega cathedral – church of St. Terezija Avilska, St. Francis convent and church of the Holy Spirit, St. Lovro’s church and Nuns convent of St. Vinko. Emblem of Požega was given by Maria Theresa of Austria when Požega became free royal town. This emblem was returned to the blue town flag at 9. of September, 1993. Požega is famous for its bicycle tracks so if you are enjoying riding a bicycle Požega is a great place to go. Požega also has a town library which is technically very developed.
