City of BjelovarBjelovarsko Bilogorska countyBjelovar as one of the youngest towns in Croatia is also an administrative center of Bjelovarsko – Bilogorska County. On the town area lives about 40.000 people. Bjelovar is located on the south of Bilogora and it is on a crossroads of important ways that are connecting east and west of Croatia, but also east and west of Europe. Another proof of the traffic significance is a construction of a freeway Zagreb – Bjelovar – Virovitica. Climate is there mild continental with warm summers and moderate cold winters. Average temperature during the year in Bjelovar is about 12’C. Climate is good for agriculture and cattle breeding which are main basis for the towns economic development.
